Took the GMAT today, scored a 590. Ten points lower than I did on my practice run.
I did very poorly on the “Quantitative” (e.g. math) part, and quite well on the “Verbal” (e.g. English) part. My understanding is that the maximum possible score is 800, and 500 is considered “average.” So I did slightly above average.
I’m quite sure, based on absolutely no evidence whatsoever, that everyone else applying for the Master’s program will be making 700s and above on their GMATs, so my abysmal performance will disqualify me.
