Pacific Rim was on cable this week.
Near the end is a touching scene where a father and son are having A Moment, before the son goes off to fight in the final battle while the injured father must stay behind. So much unspoken baggage between them, so many issues they don’t have time to resolve.
Me: I’m not here for all this character development, I wanna watch giant robots fight monsters! *fast forward*
